Actual Wins: 48
The Clippers offense surprised many this season, ranking No. 9 in the NBA in efficiency with 112.4 points per 100 possessions. They led the league drawing fouls, generating 24.0 per contest, which allowed for freebies late in the all-important second and fourth quarters. L.A. topped all in points in each of these periods as well (30.1 per 2nd Q, 28.8 per 4th)
T-3. Orlando Magic
Win Total: 31
Actual Wins: 42
The surprising Southeast winner Orlando bought into first-year head coach Steve Clifford’s defensive philosophy, yielding the fifth fewest points in the league (106.6 per game). The franchise particularly shined against Eastern Conference foes, going 30-22 SU (57.7 percent) and 31-20-1 ATS (60.8 percent).
T-3. Portland Trail Blazers

Moda Center proved a tough travel spot for visitors once again, the Trail Blazers going 32-9 (78.0 percent) and 23-15-3 ATS (60.5 percent) in the famed building.
2. Milwaukee Bucks
Win Total: 48
Actual Wins: 60
Head coach Mike Budenholzer’s five-out offensive system is proving the perfect fit for star Giannis Antetokounmpo, allowing the “freak” MVP candidate a plethora of unstoppable iso opportunities.
1. Sacramento Kings
Win Total: 26
Actual Wins: 48
The Kings sped up the pace this season, which allowed their bevy of young offensive stars the perfect setting to unleash their skills and talents. Sacramento ranks fourth in the NBA with 103.1 possessions per 48 minutes. It led the league in fastbreak points with 20.9 per tilt. Last season, the Kings ranked last in pace (94.9) and 20th in transition buckets (10.4 per game).
T-28. Los Angels Lakers
Win Total: 48.5
Actual Wins: 37
LeBron James’ supporting staff was flawed from the get-go, as evidenced by the fact the team only won one-third (9-18 SU) of all contests the “King” sat out. The Lakers went 28-27 SU (50.9 percent) with James suiting up.
T-28. Cleveland Cavaliers
Win Total: 30.5
Actual Wins: 19.5

29. New Orleans Pelicans
Win Total: 45.5
Actual Wins: 33
The season took a turn for the worse when the relationship between star center Anthony Davis and management grew toxic over trade talks. The Pelicans were a respectable 19-22 SU and ATS prior to January 8. They went 14-27 SU (34.1 percent) and 17-21-3 ATS (44.7 percent) afterwards.
30. Washington Wizards
